Hi, Simon here. In this video, I’ll demonstrate step-by-step how to replace the screen on the ASUS Gaming Laptop FX505G.

Initial Steps

• Model Identification: ASUS FX505G.
• Approach: We’ll only replace the LCD screen, keeping the original bezel and top cover intact.

Bezel Removal

1. Locate and Remove Hidden Screws: Start by removing the two plastic stickers concealing screws at the bottom of the bezel.
2. Unscrew: Use a Phillips screwdriver to remove these screws.
3. Pry Open the Bezel: Carefully pry open the bezel, starting from a corner, working your way around the screen.

Screen Removal

1. Expose the Screen: With the bezel off, the screen is accessible.
2. Detach the Screen: The screen is held in place by adhesive tape. Gently peel off the tape on both sides.
3. Disconnect the Screen: Carefully tilt the screen forward to access the connector at the back. Disconnect it gently.

Screen Replacement

1. Prepare the New Screen: Assuming you have received a new screen, prepare it for installation.
2. Apply Double-Sided Tape: Apply new double-sided tape to the sides of the new screen.
3. Connect and Position the Screen: Reconnect the screen cable and carefully position the new screen in place.
4. Press Down Gently: Secure the screen by gently pressing it onto the adhesive tape.

Bezel Installation

1. Reattach the Bezel: Carefully snap the bezel back into place, ensuring it fits snugly around the screen.
2. Screw the Bezel Back: Replace the screws and cover them with the plastic stickers for a clean finish.
