Steps for DC Jack Replacement:

1. Identify the Laptop Model:
   • Ensure your laptop is a Dell Inspiron 3501.
2. Remove Screws:
   • Use a Phillips screwdriver to remove all screws from the laptop’s back cover. Note that the top right and left screws may not come off completely, which is normal.
3. Open the Back Cover:
   • Carefully pry open the back cover using a suitable tool.
4. Access the DC Jack:
   • Open the laptop’s hinge slightly to access the DC jack area.
5. Disconnect the Old DC Jack:
   • Slide the connector of the old DC jack away from your body to disconnect it.
6. Replace with New DC Jack:
   • Obtain a new DC jack compatible with the Dell Inspiron 3501.
   • Slide the new jack’s connector back into place, ensuring the metal (gold) part faces downwards.
7. Cable Management:
   • Tuck and manage cables neatly under the motherboard.
