Step 1: Identify Your Laptop Model Check the back of your Acer Nitro V15 to find the model number. In this video, we’re working with model N23Q22.

Step 2: Gather Your Tools You’ll need a Philips screwdriver (PH1), additional M.2 SSD, and optionally, a plastic prying tool. Don’t worry, I’ll link everything you need in the description below.

Step 3: Remove the Screws Using your Philips screwdriver, carefully remove all the screws from the back cover of your laptop. Remember, they should all be the same size.

Step 4: Remove the Back Cover Once the screws are out, gently pry open the back cover using a plastic prying tool. Start at an easy corner and work your way around until the cover pops off.

Step 5: Locate the Secondary M.2 Slot Inside, you’ll see the secondary slot where we’ll be adding the additional M.2 SSD. It’s a straightforward process.

Step 6: Install the M.2 SSD Slide the new M.2 SSD into the slot at a 45-degree angle. Secure it in place by tightening the screw.

Step 7: Replace the Back Cover Carefully put the back cover back on and secure it with the screws. Make sure everything is snug but not overly tight.

Step 8: Initialize the SSD Turn on your computer and go to Disk Management. Right-click on the new SSD, initialize it, and you’re good to go!

Step 9: Enjoy Your Expanded Storage Now you have extra space for all your files, programs, and games. It’s that simple!
